For a seven-seat MPV it handles well and offers a strong alternative in the sectorPerformance Stick with the diesels for the lowest driving costs, which is sure to be popular with family buyers. For performance however, the 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol is a superb engine.Emissions The petrol returns 53.3mpg and emits just 140g/km. Very good for such a large car and enough to warrant serious consideration.Driving Steering is improved and there is very little body roll despite its size, but it comes at the expense of suspension, which can be a little firm.Feel Diesels can be a bit noisy, but very little wind noise. It is a comfortable car to take at higher speeds and on the motorway.Space It looks compact, but makes excellent use of space. Inside, there is plenty of boot space and all five seats get enough head and leg room. There are also lots of cubby holes for storage.Equipment All models have air con and electric front windows. The Sport trim is the most popular and adds alloy wheels and cruise control.Price A respectable £17,500. Running costs are relatively low as well, and it should hold value well. As a large family car the price is just right.Quality Much more reliable than older Peugeots and the cabin has a feel of quality and solidity to it.
