Nissan has truly dominated the crossover market in the past 15 years or so, initially with the Qashqai and later with the smaller Juke.
Produced in Sunderland, this funky-looking compact SUV might have more competition than ever, but this model is still able to stand out, with generous equipment levels, a roomier interior than ever and plenty of personalisation all impressing – the areas that really matter in this class.

What engines are available?
If you’re holding out for an electrified Juke, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, though Nissan has recently confirmed that a new hybrid model will join the range – likely later on in 2022.
So for the time being, the only engine option is a turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol. Available with a six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, it puts out 112bhp and 200Nm of torque.
Manual Jukes are the quickest, with these able to hit 0-60mph in 10.4 seconds, with a top speed of 112mph possible. In terms of fuel efficiency, Nissan claims 47.9mpg, and CO2 emissions of 134g/km.
What trim levels are offered?
Nissan offers a good selection of trim levels on the Juke, with equipment highlights and pricing as follows.
Visia – from £19,770
Standard equipment on the Juke includes cruise control, electric windows, electric door mirrors, air conditioning and LED lights at the front and rear. Though it lacks a touchscreen, it gets Bluetooth and a DAB radio. Plenty of safety equipment is included too, such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, high beam assist and traffic sign recognition.
Acenta – from £21,370
It’s worth making the jump up the Visia specification, which easily justifies its extra expense with its 17-inch alloy wheels and eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A reversing camera and raft of connected services are also included.
N-Connecta – from £23,370
Our pick of the range is the N-Connecta, which gets a revised set of 17-inch alloys, along with satellite navigation and a seven-inch TFT dial screen. Keyless entry, automatic climate control and a leather steering wheel are added as well.
Tekna – from £24,870
If you want a more stylish look, take a look at the Tekna, which gets a set of large 19-inch alloy wheels, along with ambient interior lighting. A heated windscreen, heated front seats and Bose sound system are included too. Elsewhere, plenty of safety kit is added too – such as an around-view monitor, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.
Tekna+ – from £26,270
Right at the top of the range, the Tekna+ majors on personalisation, thanks to its revised 19-inch alloy wheels, two-tone metallic paint and Fuji Red exterior styling package.
What about personalisation?
The Nissan Juke is a car that absolutely majors on personalisation, with a broad range of bold and bright colours on offer, including Vivid Blue, Fuji Sunset Red and Burgundy. Each trim level gets a bespoke set of alloys too, while on certain specifications you can choose to have the Juke with a two-tone scheme, bringing a roof painted black, silver or red.
