Buyer’s guide to the Jaguar F-Pace

If you're looking at the Jaguar F-Pace and can see yourself driving the luxury SUV, here's what you need to know before you enquire.

Jaguar’s first SUV – the F-Pace – started off a trend for the British brand, as its SUV line-up has grown to three since its launch back in 2016.

As the largest current option in Jaguar’s line-up, the F-Pace has plenty of good aspects to offer potential customers.

Here is a brief look at Jaguar’s F-Pace…

What engines are there?

Customers have the choice of six different power options and they are derived from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol, a 3.0-litre V6 diesel and the top of the range 5.0-litre supercharged V8. The base level 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel develops 161bhp and is paired to a six-speed manual transmission – with the rest of the line-up connected to an automatic transmission as standard.

The top-end 5.0-litre supercharged V8 is the stand-out unit and is fitted to the F-Pace SVR. With that power unit paired to all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the F-Pace SVR can get from 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 176mph – putting it close to the top of the performance SUV sector.

What kit can you get with your F-Pace?

The F-Pace’s trim setup is split into two lines – Luxury and Sport. The Prestige trim is the base spec in the Luxury line and with it you get 18-inch alloy wheels, halogen lights with daytime running lights, roof rails, a powered tailgate, leather upholstery, a leather sports steering wheel, 40:20:40 split rear seats, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen system with satellite navigation and suede headliner. Sport trims come in the shape of R-Sport and S.

Higher spec models also come with front and rear parking sensors and rear parking camera, with lane keep assist and driver condition monitor also fitted on every F-Pace model. In optional packs, customers will be able to get park assist, a 360-degree parking aid, blind spot assist and rear traffic monitor.

Other equipment, such as a Meridian sound system, a 12.3-inch instrument display and electrically reclining rear seats, is also on offer.

How much personalisation is there?

With 11 body colour options, 20 alloy wheel selections and a series of interior trim choices, customers will be able to spec their perfect F-Pace without many issues. There are also a series of accessories available for people to choose from to ensure that their vehicle stands out from the rest of the models on the road.

What’s the price?

The Jaguar F-Pace starts from £36,520, which gets you an efficient diesel engine as well as many good pieces of equipment as standard. For the top-spec SVR model – which comes with all the sporty features and a supercharged V8 – prices are set at £74,835, which for a performance SUV is good value.
