Ford has introduced a new limited-run ‘Edition’ model to its Fiesta ST range, which benefits from performance tweaks and styling tweaks.
Limited to 500 units, 300 of those will come to the UK, all painted in a bright Azura Blue colour, and with gloss black detailing to the rear diffuser, rear spoiler and badges. It also comes with a set of lighter 18-inch alloy wheels.
On the interior it benefits from a new Ford Performance steering wheel with a new driving mode selection button, as well as carbon interior trim and blue stitching throughout.
It also comes with an adjustable coilover suspension, with the whole package said to “squeeze even more excitement” out of the Fiesta ST, according to Stefan Muenzinger, Ford Performance manager for Europe.
He added: “Our new Fiesta ST Edition squeezes even more excitement out of the best-handling compact hot-hatch on the road. The Edition model puts drivers firmly in control with the ability to manually adjust the feel of their car and fine-tune the handling to suit their personal preference.”
The new suspension setup sits 15mm lower at the front than the standard Fiesta ST, and 10mm lower at the rear. It also comes with a Quaife limited-slip differential to optimise traction and improve cornering ability.
Performance remains the same as the standard ST, with the Fiesta’s turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 197bhp and enabling a 0-60mph time of 6.3 seconds and top speed of 143mph.
Only available in three-door guise, the new Fiesta ST is available now priced from £27,075.
