New fleet-focussed SE Technology trim introduced to 2020 Skoda Octavia

The new SE Technology grade is set to appeal to the fleet market with its attractive kit levels and low BIK

Skoda has introduced a new SE Technology grade to its new Octavia, which is targeted towards company car drivers with its long equipment kit list and low benefit-in-kind.

Joining SE First Edition and SE L First Edition grades in the new Octavia range, the new SE Technology is set to be the go-to model for the fleet market – a sector that already accounts for a large proportion of Skoda’s registrations.

This new SE Technology grade is available with a 148bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine or a 113bhp 2.0-diesel unit, and can be had as both a practical five-door hatchback or an estate. These have a benefit-in-kind of just 28 per cent for the petrol hatch – rising to just 30 per cent for the 2.0-litre diesel estate model.

Standard equipment is very generous, too, including 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and front and rear parking sensors. It also comes with plenty of tech, with a 10-inch touchscreen being included along with a large digital Virtual Cockpit system. Standard safety kit also includes autonomous emergency braking and lane keep assist, though features like adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring are available on the options list.

These new SE Technology models are available to order now, with models having a starting P11D value of £22,410 for the petrol hatchback – rising to £24,260 for the diesel estate. First deliveries are expected later this summer.
