Seat Arona wins Red Dot design award

Spanish compact SUV praised for its looks, taking the Red Dot Award for Best Product Design 2018.

The Seat Arona has taken the Red Dot Award for Best Product Design 2018 — hailed for its sharp and modern exterior design.

Since 1954, the Red Dot award has been considered one of the most prestigious awards in the world — highlighting quality and innovation across multiple industries.

Alongside its looks, it also took the award thanks to its range of personalisation options and stylish interior.

Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, Seat design director, said:

"We are extremely delighted to receive one of the most prestigious design awards for the Seat Arona. We wanted to give a distinct crossover character, for day-to-day life and for the urban jungle.

"The Seat Arona is yet another example of fresh, young, functional, adventurous and comfortable design"

The Seat Arona launched in 2017, bringing a small crossover option in the youth-focused Spanish brand’s line-up. Despite having only recently introduced to the market, 25,000 examples have already been sold — a testament to its quality.

Pricing in the UK for the Seat Arona begins at £16,750 and can be had in a choice of seven trims — with Xcellence Lux topping the range. Standard equipment includes stylish 17-inch alloy wheels, a bi-colour roof to stand out from the crowd and LED daytime running lights.
