Skoda Octavia vRS
‘Thrilling’ and ‘Skoda’ are words that you normally wouldn’t put together, but the Octavia vRS is an exception to that rule. The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine develops 242bhp and 370Nm of torque – all of which goes through the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. That means 0-60mph is over in just 6.4 seconds and the vRS can reach a top speed of 155mph. That’s quite a compelling package, considering that is one of the best hot hatches to drive and live with.
