We say A car for fans of showing-off. While it’s certainly appealing and entertaining to drive, it’s not the best thing the Aston range has to offer.Performance The 6.0 litre V12 petrol engine sounds fantastic and boasts 510bhp which moves the coupe to a top speed of 190mph, meanwhile the 0-60mph acceleration time is 4.1 seconds.Emissions Not a priority for Aston Martins, the V12 Vantage has a recorded fuel economy of 17mpg and CO2 emissions are as high as 388g/km.Driving An agile and precise ride is achieved with the V12 Vantage. It’s certainly quick but maybe not as much as you would expect.Feel The controls are hefty and the ride is firm but it’s at least forgiving enough to take the edge off bigger bumps on the road.Space This two door coupe has a tight cabin where passengers sit well towards the centre of the vehicle. There is also a boot with 300 litres of space plus a couple more storage slots within.Equipment Numerous luxuries are provided standard, including leather upholstery and big alloy wheels. There are numerous optional features to and room to personalise your Vantage which are hand built.Price The V12 Vantage has a list price of £135,000.Quality All the equipment and materials are well put together, however if you pack the car with optional equipment there are a lot of small, identical switches which are hard to tell apart.Safety Electronic driving aids include stability control and electronic brake distribution. Optional features include a tracker system in case the car is stolen.Pros Looks and sounds great, lots of driver input involved behind the wheel.Cons Performance-wise it’s put in the shade by other supercars; centre console can get jumbled, daunting to drive on wet roads.Alternatives Porsche 911, Audi R8, BMW M6
