The most powerful engine in the range is the 3.0-litre 300bhp T6 which can clear 60mph in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 155mph.Emissions Volvo’s S60 comes with its DRIVe eco-signature treatment which means fuel economy and CO2 emissions can fall as low as 65mpg and 114g/km respectively, with the 1.6-litre petrol option. Overall, the small to mid-level diesels are economical and excellent for those looking to limit running costs.Driving The S60 is supposed to be the sportiest car in Volvo’s history and whilst it is definitely an improvement over previous generations, it’s still no match for the more established sports saloons and executives on the market. It’s smooth and responsive but once again there’s no feel to the steering or feedback through the wheel.Feel Overall the ride is smooth on the S60 and that makes for a brilliant motorway cruiser, something helped by its noise management which is excellent.
