BMW has extended the dimensions to improve interior space and standing on the road, and comes with metallic detailing around the front kidney grille and on the roof rails.

Available in three trim levels – xLine, M Sport and M Performance – the X5 comes with one of three engines. The 40i petrol produces 335bhp and 450Nm of torque, the 30d makes 261bhp along with 620Nm, while the top spec M50d is a quad-turbocharged six-cylinder diesel producing 394bhp and 760Nm of torque.

All of the power units are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive setup.
