Originating during the 1980s in the US, Black Friday has become a worldwide phenomenon. Every year more and more companies join in on slashing prices in a bid to attract the attention of keen bargain hunters – even car companies.
Cars are usually the second expensive item people own – second to a house/flat etc. So, as you can imagine, buying an expensive brand new car can be quite daunting. Fortunately, some manufacturers offer reduced prices around Black Friday in order to aid people in getting that shiny new caw they’ve been wanting.
Here we take a look at the best of this year’s deals that might just tempt you into a new motor.

Land Rover
Land Rover is running the same ‘Black Event’ for the same time span. Again, they are also doing enhanced deposit contributions – in this case the most you can get off is £5,515 when buying the Range Rover Velar.

Jaguar is running an event called the ‘Black Event’ – from 23rd to 25th November. The main thing car buyers will be interested to know is enhanced deposit contributions the brand is offering – up to £13,000 off the F-Type for example.

Mercedes-Benz
German manufacturer Mercedes is doing deals on two of their vehicles – the X-Class Storm Edition (to be launched on Black Friday) and Vito Sport van. These deals are aimed more at businesses in need of utility vehicles and want to take advantage of cut prices. As well as this, Mercedes is also offering 48-hour extended test drives on the X-Class until the end of the year.
As part of their Black Friday event, Mercedes has on offer Vito Sports with the Sports Styling Pack. This includes chrome side bars and front grille, plus unique grey branded decals, usually worth £500.
Peugeot
From 16th to 26th November, Peugeot is running a Black Friday event exclusively on its website. With deals across the range, this initiative has been designed to allow motorists the opportunity to obtain a brand-new car even in the run up to the often costly Christmas holiday. And because it’s online only, there’s no hustle and bustle usually associated with buying on Black Friday – with the process able to be finished in as little as 30 minutes.
Peugeot have some unique finance packages on offer as part of this event, including Just Add Fuel with telematics. This package is aimed at younger motorists (aged 18 and over) or people with children who want to drive the family car. It covers every motoring cost - all you need to do is fill it up with fuel.

BMW
BMW’s Black Friday deals are not on the cars themselves, but rather cheaper access to its ConnectedDrive Services.
A number of packages are available at a 25 per cent discount – including online services such as an ‘Intelligent Voice Assistant, BMW Connected+ which gives access to a portal shared between your smartphone and the infotainment. With packages starting from £18.75 per year, these are fantastic bolt-on options you can add to your BMW, and at a fraction of the regular price.
Nissan
Two Nissan offers are available alongside the firm’s other range of deals.
As part of the Japanese manufacturer’s Black Tag event, there’s attractive deals on both the Juke crossover and Micra supermini. Zero per cent finance deals are available on the Juke, with a low 3.99 per cent APR rate offered on the Micra.
Citroen
Citroen decided to take its Black Friday offerings a little bit further through its ‘Black November’ deals, which are available throughout the month.
The offer is a fantastic servicing offer, whereby you can get two services for just £99. The deal only applies to Citroen's ordered throughout the month, with the deal expiring once the first two services have been completed or 24 months after the car has been registered.
Hyundai
Hyundai has gone big this year with its fleet offers on the Kona, Tucson and Ioniq Hybrid.
Low initial rentals starting from £1,146 (plus VAT), with models available from £189 per month. These offers are for only available for business contract hire users only.
