The premium all-electric hatchback, the BMW i3, has surpassed 10,000 sales in the UK since it was introduced back in 2014.
Following on from the 3,458 i3s sold in 2017, interest in the premium hatchback has continued to grow since it was brought to the market. Plus, with BMW updating the vehicle towards the end of 2017, the German firm also offers the sportier i3s.
BMW Group sold 100,000 electrified vehicles worldwide last year, and both BMW i and BMW iPerformance became the best-selling premium plug-in hybrid brands.
Its introduction to the market back in 2014 saw 1,220 i3 units sold, which grew in 2015 to 2,145, and then increased again in 2016 with 2,631 sales – showing the increased popularity in electrified vehicles.
