Cupra expands Ateca range with new Limited Edition option

Just 100 of the models are coming to the UK.

Cupra has announced a new Limited Edition version of its sporty Ateca crossover, which brings performance tweaks and revised styling.

Currently Cupra’s only standalone model, the Ateca has proven a successful model for the Spanish performance manufacture that’s a sub-brand of Seat.

Just 100 of these new Limited Edition models are coming to the UK, with 80 painted in Rhodium Grey and the other 20 coming in an exclusive Graphene Grey with a more raucous Akrapovic exhaust system.

The models also offer a number of styling changes, including new copper 20-inch alloy wheels, as well as copper-coloured styling accents that feature on the Cupra badging, as well as the spoiler and door mirrors. These larger wheels also mean that it can fit in huge 18-inch Brembo brakes, which come as standard.

On the inside, it’s distinguished by its blue Alcantara sport seats, as well as copper carbon fibre accents.

The Ateca features the same turbocharged 2.0-litre engine as the Audi S3 and Volkswagen Golf R – producing 296bhp and 400Nm of torque in its standard form. Though through a main dealer, drivers can choose an ABT upgrade, which increases the power to 335bhp and torque to 440Nm. Both models manage a 0-60mph time of 4.7 seconds, while top speeds range from 152-158mph.

The new Cupra Ateca Limited Edition is available now, with prices starting from £42,120, or £45,160 with the Akrapovic exhaust system. The regular Cupra Ateca is available from £37,365.
