Vauxhall has revised its Corsa-e and Mokka-e models, which now benefit from an enhanced electric range compared to before.
Though the two models haven’t been on sale for longer, Vauxhall has made a range of tweaks to the popular EVs to enhance their efficiency.
Changes include revisions to the heat pump, which now runs more efficiently than before when heating or cooling the interior, and therefore requires less energy from the battery. Vauxhall says that the improvements will be noticed ‘particularly when driving in the winter months’.
There are also tweaks to the transmission to optimise efficiency, while finally, the Corsa-e and Mokka-e get more efficient low rolling resistance tyres.
These changes see the Corsa-e’s electric range increase from 209 to 222 miles, while the Mokka-e can now do a claimed 209 miles from a single charge, up from 201 miles.
All electric and hybrid Vauxhalls can come with the firm’s ‘Plug & Go’ offer too, which gives customers a free home charging unit, eight years of roadside assistance and battery warranty, three years’ free servicing and also a free six month subscription to the BP Pulse public charging network.
The new Corsa-e and Mokka-e are now on sale, priced from £27,805 and £31,365 respectively.
