McLaren offers performance pack for 570S Spider

The convertible sports car can now be specced with the Track Pack, which replaces parts with lightweight offerings to move in line with the Coupe

Prospective McLaren 570S Spider customers can now spec their cars with the Track Pack, which adds lightweight equipment and options.

After being a successful addition to the Coupe, the Track Pack makes the Spider more dynamic – as well as louder, thanks to the addition of a sports exhaust with a stealth exhaust finisher.

With 33kg of weight-saving, McLaren has replaced many of the heavier pieces of equipment – such as the standard sports seats and alloy wheels – with lightweight alternatives.

Instead, the 570S Spider would come with carbon fibre race seats and steering wheel trimmed in alcantara, as well as the addition of carbon fibre interior pieces and the McLaren IRIS infotainment system surrounded in the material.

McLaren also adds ‘super-lightweight’ 10-spoke forged alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres.

Jolyon Nash, executive director of global sales and marketing at McLaren Automotive, said: “The 570S Spider has already gained a reputation as an extremely accomplished luxury sportscar that is hugely enjoyable to drive on a circuit.

“This new Track Pack brings together in one package design features, specification and popular practical options desirable for track use, further increasing choice for Spider buyers and at the same time offering them even better value.”

On top of the standard £164,750 starting price, the Track Pack costs an additional £17,160.
