Mercedes-AMG announces pricing for GT Four-Door

The new coupe-styled super GT comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that can develop in excess of 630bhp.

Mercedes-AMG has announced pricing details for the GT Four-Door, with the range starting from £121,350.

The model is fitted with the brand’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which can develop up to 630bhp in the top-spec GT 63 S – with the base spec GT 63 coming with 577bhp.

With that power and the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive, the GT Four-Door can be launched from 0-60mph in just three seconds and can reach a top speed of 196mph – with the engine paired to a nine-speed AMG-specific automatic transmission.

Every model comes with AMG Ride Control+ system that features continuous adjustable damping for improved handling and comfort control.

Standard equipment on the GT 63 includes 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, multibeam LED headlights, 360-degree camera with parking sensors, a widescreen cockpit with 12.3-inch infotainment and instrument displays, heated front and rear seats, automated boot lid, Burmester sound system and AMG Performance leather steering wheel.

For the S model, the GT Four-Door comes with the AMG Dynamic Plus package that includes an electronic rear-axle differential lock, Race and Drift driving modes and larger brake discs with yellow callipers. Mercedes also adds multi-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and a microfiber performance steering wheel.

In the limited-run Edition 1 model, customers will find grey paint, 21-inch forged bi-colour wheels, an aerodynamic upgrade package, AMG carbon matte trim, nappa leather AMG seats with yellow stitching and the AMG Night design package.

The 577bhp GT 63 starts from £121,250, while the more powerful GT 63 S has a starting price of £135,550. The Edition 1 limited-run model starts from £148,950.

With the models on sale now, deliveries will begin in spring 2019.
