Mercedes-AMG has announced prices for the latest version of the G 63 performance SUV, which comes with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
With an asking price of £143,305, the G 63 has a top speed of 137mph, but the optional AMG Driver’s package increases that to 149mph, and the engine is paired to a nine-speed AMG sports transmission.
The G 63 comes with plenty of equipment to justify its price tag, such as AMG Ride Control that comes with automatic damping control, high-performance brakes, four-wheel drive and three fully-locking differentials.
Inside it comes with three-zone climate control, two 12.3-inch displays to create a widescreen cockpit, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric sunroof and 64-colour ambient lighting. You also get titanium grey 20-inch alloy wheels, Parktronic with 360-degree cameras, LED headlights with high beam assist and an AMG sports exhaust system.
Save money on a new Mercedes-Benz todayAlso available from launch is the Edition 1 version, which adds the AMG Night package, 22-inch matte black alloy wheels, Nappa leather upholstery with red inserts, active multicontour seat package and Edition 1 badging – with the Winter package also added, which includes an auxiliary heater and heated windscreen. The Edition 1 starts from £164,495.
Customers can order their G 63s now, with deliveries beginning in July.
