New Bentley Flying Spur set to be more dynamic than ever

The luxury saloon is set to be the first model from the British firm with four-wheeled steering.

Bentley has revealed new of the new Flying Spur, with the model promising to be the most dynamic version yet.

In the year when Bentley celebrates its 100th anniversary, the Crewe-based manufacturer is unveiling its new Continental GT-based Flying Spur saloon.

The new model will be the first Bentley to feature all-wheel steering that aims to improve stability at higher speeds, as well as making low-speed manoeuvres easier.

Despite the Flying Spur being all-wheel-drive, in its standard mode, power is just sent to the rear wheels to try and enhance the model’s handling ability, with all-wheel-drive kicking in automatically if any slip is detected.

A new system known as Bentley Dynamic Ride also aims to reduce body roll by adjusting the suspension to help keep the car flat in the corners.

As expected from the model, it shares much of its DNA and styling with the Continental GT coupe – notably that car’s headlights – but the rear lights also show a ‘B’ lighting signature, which is similar to that of the Bentayga SUV.

Bentley has promised that the new Flying Spur “will deliver an unparalleled touring experience for the driver and passengers alike”.

The new model is being unveiled on Tuesday, June 11.
