Poshest police car ever? Rolls-Royce Ghost gets law enforcement makeover

Rolls-Royce has created what is quite possibly the poshest police car ever made - one based on the manufacturer's Ghost luxury saloon.

Luxury car maker Rolls-Royce has donated one of its Ghost models to Sussex Police to create what is quite possibly the poshest police car ever made.

The police-liveried Rolls-Royce was designed for display at the Chichester Police Station open day last weekend.

Based on the latest Ghost four-door saloon, this unique Rolls-Royce featured police lights on top, even though the size and styling of the car would no doubt make it easy to spot on the road anyway. It also had an Andalusian White exterior finish and sported a Black and Tan contrast leather interior.

The car was supplied from the Rolls-Royce factory located at the manufacturer’s HQ in Goodwood. The factory itself is based in West Sussex, close to Chichester.

It has been confirmed that this special Rolls-Royce is just a one-off creation which will not only actually take an active role in any police force. Therefore, anyone who was planning on getting themselves arrested in the hopes they could get a ride in this incredibly luxurious patrol vehicle will ultimately miss out.

Rolls-Royce has already changed the car back to its normal livery, and the lights and Sussex Police decals have been removed.

The Ghost isn’t the first stand-out car to get a police patrol makeover. A BAC Mono was added to The Isle of Man police force earlier this year. You can also read about other similar examples in our feature covering Britain’s coolest police cars ever.
