Audi has revealed the pricing and specifications for its new A1 Citycarver – a model that aims to broaden this premium supermini’s appeal with more rugged styling.
Sitting 50mm higher up than the regular A1, the Citycarver also gains wheelarch extensions, underbody protection and revised bumpers to highlight its rugged looks, even though Audi is targeting city drivers with this model.
Prices for the A1 Citycarver start from £22,040, which is a noticeable bump over the regular supermini’s price. That figure gets you an A1 with the turbocharged 114bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine with a manual gearbox. Opting for the seven-speed S tronic automatic transmission pushes the price up to £23,580.
A 148bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine will join the range later in the year.
Unlike the regular A1, the Citycarver just comes with one specification, with standard equipment including LED front and rear lights, along with a 10.25-inch digital cockpit and an 8.8-inch touchscreen, to name just a few features.
A number of option packs are then available – including the Technology Pack (£1,695) that adds a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation and wireless charging, as well as the Comfort and Sound Pack (£1,150) adding heated front seats, a Bang & Olusfen sound system and a reversing camera.
