Renault introduces new full online car buying functionality

Customers can now buy their cars entirely online

Renault has become the latest car brand that allows its customers to entirely buy a car online.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the manufacturer has been increasing its range of online services, but has now adapted to make sure vehicles can be completely purchased without having to visit a showroom – joining sister brand Dacia and the likes of BMW and Peugeot.

The full new Renault range is available online, from the affordable Clio supermini to the Zoe EV to its Kadjar crossover. The ‘Renault Buy Online’ site allows customers to configure their car, use a finance calculator to work out the best deal for them, while finance documents can also be signed digitally.

The French manufacturer also introduced a ‘Virtual Showroom’ earlier this year during the first lockdown, which is an online service where product experts video call customers about certain features on a car, while doing walkaround videos.

Vincent Tourette, managing director, Groupe Renault UK, said: “We are seeing more customers wanting to complete more of their purchase online. Alongside our Virtual Showroom, we are supporting the traditional physical customer journey with the ability to do everything digitally from the comfort of your own home. We believe that this will become an increasingly useful tool, not only in the future but at present given the current nationwide restrictions."

You can also part-exchange a car through the website, while when the car is ready (estimated to be around two weeks), it can be collected from a dealership or delivered home, even in current Covid restrictions in England.
